Product Details
Developed specifically for refurbishment and overlay applications where greater life expectancy is needed. Cold applied so no hot works on roof – just one coat protects for up to 5 years. Flexible and highly elastic with excellent adhesion to almost any wall or roof substrate.
LONG-LASTING PROTECTION - Developed specifically for refurbishment and overlay applications where greater life expectancy is needed. Durashield Roof In A Box flexible elastomeric system offers a 5-year life expectancy when using a single coat over primer surfaces or 10 years life expectancy when using the fully built-up system.
SUITABLE FOR MOST SUBSTRATES - A flexible and highly elastic system with excellent adhesion on most surfaces such as flat roofs, weathered asphalt and bituminous surfaces, concrete, brickwork, fibreglass and grp, weathered plys, OSB/plywood, wooden substrates and EPDM.
INSTANT WATERPROOF PROTECTION - Our ready-to-use, cold-applied liquid rubber-based system instantly waterproofs the affected area, providing a long-lasting and easy-to-apply solution. Once opened Durashield can be resealed and used again.
EASY TO APPLY - Fully waterproof in just one coat applied by brush, solvent resistant roller or squeegee. With a minimum coverage of 1m² per litre, you can easily cover a large area with a one-coat application.
Application Details
Preparation
- Clear all areas of moss, lichen and debris by brushing or power washing and remove surface water and any contamination such as Oil or Grease.
- Allow to dry.
- Apply Britannia Fungicidal Wash to prevent further fungal/algal growth.
Application
- Stir well before use.
- Do not thin.
- The substrate and ambient temperature for the application of the system must be between 5°C – 30°C.
- To the dry and cleaned surface, apply a generous coat of Durashield by brush or solvent resistant roller at a minimum spreading rate of 1m² per litre.
